Botox! Botox! Botox!

Many of you out there may have that child who you have to watch what you say, 'cause when you least expect it, they blurt out something inappropriate and crazy in front of others.  Well, my daughter was on a mission to embarrass me with inappropriate commentary.  We were out at dinner last night, and my daughter thought that screaming, "Botox, Botox, Botox," was hilarious.  I know what you're thinking, that I must have gotten Botox, and now she thinks its funny to haunt me by screaming Botox.  But, that is not the case --- honestly, pinky swear.

My mother in law came to St. Louis for the summer to help us out with Milan, and about a week ago, we went to a friend's home, who happened to be an eye surgeon, and happened to have some Botox in his home (normal, every day stuff...lol).   While, Milan was in the pool with friends, our surgeon friend worked on Nana's face.  Now, Milan did not see this nor did we discuss it in front of her.   Since Nana's Botox experience, every now and then, my husband and I make a comment to Nana about how her face looks great, and the Botox has truly served her well.  Again, we weren't hiding it from Milan. but we don't recall saying the word Botox in front of her, and she also didn't give us the impression that she knew or cared about the Botox subject.

Moving forward to recent events, it is clear that she was listening and taking in the random comments, and she finally chose to spew her Botox terror on all of us.  The worst part is that even though Nana was at the restaurant with us, she was directing the Botox my way.  I tried to reason with her, and I asked her if she knew what Botox was, and she responded with, "it's when you put shots in your face."  Then, I said, "well, I bet you don't know what it does, do you?"  She thought about it for a second, and said, "No....Botox! Botox! Botox!"

All that to say, watch what you say around these little ones, they really are sneaky, and they will strike when you least expect it.
